The Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act — House and Senate Versions

A bill was introduced November 27, 2018 in the House by Ted Deutch (D-FL), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), John Delaney (D-MD), Francis Rooney (R-FL), and Charlie Crist (D-FL). It is Carbon Fee and Dividend legislation that is VERY SIMILAR to the legislation proposed by Citizens' Climate Lobby. On December 19, Senators Jeff Flake (R-Arizona) and Chris Coons (D-Delaware) introduced a companion bill of the same name in the Senate. CCL fully supports these bills.

The 2018 Congress has only days left in session, and the objective of introducing the bill now is to build momentum for reintroduction in the next Congress. There is a lot of work that will be required to get this bill passed. YOUR HELP IS NEEDED NOW MORE THAN EVER.

This page is begins a series of entries that will be added to as new information is available.
