Support Tucson CCL

We engage in a number of projects every year that require funding. These include our annual booth at the Tucson Festival of Books, signage and printing for tabling, and funding scholarships to send students to our annual conference in Washington, D.C. Your help is needed to make this possible!

How to Contribute

If you would like to make a direct contribution to cover the cost of our activities, we have a 501(c)3, non-profit charity named Citizen’s Climate Education and all contributions are tax-deductible.

Donating is easy. Here is a link to our GoFundMe page where you can contribute and automatically receive an acknowledgment of your tax deductable contribution.

If you would rather enter the link into a browser on your own, you can copy this URL.

Need to make a mandatory withdrawal from an IRA? It’s a great way to contribute without incurring a tax liability.

  • If you are at least 70 and one-half years old you may be required to make a minimum distribution from your Independent Retirement Account (IRA)
  • 401Ks are not eligible but can be converted to IRAs.
  • You can direct a portion of your required mandatory distribution up to $100,000 to a qualified charity like Tucson CCL.
  • The check to the charity must be written by the financial institution where your IRA resides. It needs to be made out directly to the charity, but some financial firms can send it to you to give to the charity.
  • Even if you take the standard deduction, the amount that you give to the charity is like a deduction because the amount withdrawn will not be taxable income to you.
  • In the case of Tucson CCL, the check needs to made out to “Oro Valley-Tucson Citizens Climate Education”

Our Federal EIN is 82-3832377. Contact Ed Beshore if you have any questions on how to contribute.
