About Us
In furtherance of the goal of the Citizens’ Climate Lobby to build electrification and for Arizona to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050, five of us decided to form ACC Watch, a CCL Action Team, to monitor the activities of the Arizona Corporation Commission and make it accountable via the ballot box.
The ACC sets charges and rates for water, electricity, telephone, and natural gas; and the commissioners’ decisions affect not only the monthly amount of carbon emissions harmful to our health but also our wallets.
We are a grassroots team with evolving plans to educate and foster engagement with voters statewide; to partner with other groups working for decarbonization and renewable energy production; and to develop relationships with legislators and other influential entities.
We’ll use www.TucsonCCL.com/ACC_Watch as a central location to provide timely information on any pending decisions of the ACC and opportunities to submit input via different methods, as well as to share links to relevant sources. You may also contact us at BML.ACCWatch@gmail.com.
We invite you to join us in our efforts!
Our Mission
To hold the Arizona Corporation Commission accountable to advance the state’s transition from fossil fuels to renewable sources such as solar, wind, and geothermal for energy production at fair, equitable costs to ratepayers.
